  1. Who do you regard as a "successful person"? I know one person who is regarded as "successful" (in terms of wealth, recognition, etc.), and she is not a happy person and, when she talks, she talks in cliches--I think in fact the word "successful" has itself become a cliche. Would we use the word "successful" to describe Shakespeare, Milton or Wordsworth -- no! We would use words like genius, brilliant, men of distinction. I'm still looking for someone who would meet my definition of "successful" -- but now that I think of it, I don't think I'll use the word anymore.
